We have learned to connect with one another via virtual platforms amidst the 2020’s pandemic.  In his TED TalkNick Jushchyshyn argues that there is a large upside to virtual conferencing. This includes advantages such as greater accessibility, efficiency, cost savings, and lower greenhouse emissions. What if there was a way to keep these benefits of virtual conferencing, while not being restricted by its limitations? Nick exhibits in his talk that virtual production, a suite of tools that combine live-action footage and computer graphics in real-time, can not only address the current limitations of virtual conferencing but also enhance its capabilities.
