What is TED?
TED is a nonprofit organization that serves as a hub for innovative ideas and rich conversation. The nonpartisan group hosts many different programs and collaboratives with the goal to promote the exchanging of ideas. TED oversees events all over the world, facilitating networks of increased knowledge and curiosity. The ultimate goal is to “make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.”

What is TEDx?
A TEDx event is a grass-root initiative with the same goals as its parent organization, TED, except these events are hosted on a local and more intimate scale. TEDx events are fully planned and independently coordinated on a community-by-community basis, though operate under an official TED license.
